WEAVING OURSELVES HOME

A Half-Day Retreat

This is an invitation to weave a moment of rest and reflection into our lives. To come home to the self through creative, intuitive practices that encourage rematriation, an honouring of the land of ourselves, and a welcoming of deep listening to wisdom of our ever-cycling selves.

You are invited to join us for retreat to nourish our beings at the end of these winter months. At a time when the earth begins to awaken after weeks of slumber, we have the opportunity to also stir our creative capacity into wakefulness. The day will begin with an opportunity to rest through the meditative lying down journey that is yoga nidra, then we will rise up and have time to share together in circle. To speak of what is moving through us in this moment and the inner season that we find ourselves in. We will then explore gentle movement practice to nourish our beings before reflecting on the collective moment through looking into the mirror that is tarot (we will be working with the Motherpeace Tarot, a diverse matriarchal circular tarot). We will close our day with a playful practice of creativity, making something with our hands, and through song — music as medicine, kirtan and prayersong — as a creative healing form of expression.

All ages, all genders, all ethnicities are welcome, and all are encouraged to treat each other with respect and compassion in our shared space.

There will be some cushions available, but please bring your own cushion/sheepskin/blanket if you prefer so you are comfortable and warm during our time together.
